Our programs
Link-Up (NSW) services support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have been separated from their families as a result of past Government policies and practices, including institutionalisation, adoption or foster care. Link-Up (NSW) services aim to help members of the Stolen Generations trace their families and family history to be reunited with family, country, community or gravesites where possible.
We are not funded to assist with:
- Native Title, land rights, compensation or reparations claims.
- Financial assistance outside our core business services.
- Locating missing persons
- Funeral expenses, including gravestones and monuments.
- Confirmation of Aboriginality (only eligible clients receive this).
- People who have been removed under State or Territory child protection legislation enacted after 1975.

Our Reunification program assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have been affected by past Government removal policies, including separation through adoption, fostering, removal or institutionalisation.
Link-Up (NSW) provides a professional, confidential and culturally appropriate services to members of the Stolen Generations.
The Family Link Program assist Aboriginal youth and children at risk of entering or already within Out Of Home Care state wide (NSW). Dedicated research provides Kinship, Family Contact and Cultural information linking them to families, country and community, ensuring a sense of emotion, social and physical well-being.
The National Redress Scheme (NRS) was recommended by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. It was set up to acknowledge the harm done to people who have experienced child sexual abuse while in care.
Link-Up (NSW) employs a Targeted Earlier Intervention Worker to build links with Aboriginal Families, Children, young people, and communities to have access to culturally safe support and services to promote culture, strong communities, and self-determination.
The Territories Stolen Generations Redress Scheme provides support to Stolen Generations survivors who were removed from their families or communities, and whose removal took place in the:
- Northern Territory, before 1 July 1978 or
- Australian Capital Territory, before 11 May 1989 or
- Jervis Bay Territory.
