Link-Up (NSW) has joined other peak Aboriginal organisations to call for changes to the justice system and the need for a wraparound service to help reduce incarceration rates. CEO Janelle Clarke says past government policies including separation of families and forced child removals had led to long-lasting impacts on Aboriginal people and communities. We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live. We pay respect to our Elders past and present and to our fellow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We also acknowledge our Stolen Generation and the pain that will never go away, but for a better future we must move forward for our family and our younger generations to come. We are one with our heritage and culture, we are a part of Mother Nature.
